As many of you know already, Girls’ Generation will guest on two major American talk shows, CBS‘s ‘The Late Show with David Letterman‘ tonight on January 31st and ABC‘s ‘Live! With Kelly‘ on February 1st.
Earlier this afternoon, the ladies arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater to film their segment on ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’. Hundreds of fans eagerly awaited their arrival and it was well worth the wait as the girls greeted the fans while exiting the coach bus. The coach bus itself featured advertisements for Girls’ Generation and their latest release, “The Boys“.

Earlier this week, TEEN TOPwas chosen as one of the top four idol groups who looked great in hanboks. As if to prove their ‘pretty boy’ reputation, TEEN TOP members Chunji and L.Joe shared a selca that boasted of their handsome looks.
On January 28th, a photo was released through TEEN TOP’s me2day saying, ”[We] Sure are good-looking~~~~”
It seems like the ’93-line members of TEEN TOP have claimed their roles as the ‘faces of TEEN TOP’. Chunji’s baby face may get him a spot on the list of male idols who look as pretty as girl. L.Joe, on the other hand, seems to have gotten much more handsome after starring in the “Going Crazy” music videoalongside4minute‘s Sohyun.

TEEN TOP’s Niel reveals the 10 main dance steps for “Going Crazy”

On January 29th, TEEN TOP‘s Niel guested on Shindong‘s ‘Shim Shim Tapa‘ radio. While on the show, he revealed a video for his fans with a breakdown of some of their dance moves for “Going Crazy“.
Niel described the first nine moves with little labels, such as the “Alien communication dance, Going back dance, Selca dance, Pelvic line dance, ‘Do you want a slim body’ dance, ‘Playing the piano’ dance, Leg dance, ‘(C.A.P) putting on his hood and Taking off his hood’ dance.”
After demonstrating all nine of these dance moves, Niel cleverly revealed the name for step #10, which was: “Everyone (has to) dance (our moves) on stage”.

Niels hair! I'm confused about whether he got it permed and the stylist straighten it for certain appearances or if they just curl it for promotions? Seems like in most pictures of him not promoting on music shows he has it straight!
The warriors of rookie idol group B.A.P have successfully completed their debut showcase.
On January 28th, new idol group B.A.P’s Himchan, Bang Yong Guk, Zelo, Jong Up, Young Jae, and Dae Hyun opened their first showcase at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul.
Unlike other rookie groups who begin on a smaller scale, B.A.P held their first showcase in a large scale concert-like format. The group’s great popularity was evident when more than 3,000 fans from both domestically and internationally were in attendance, bringing much interest to the group.
Following their captivating intro video, they performed “Burn It Up” off their first single album. This performance was followed by B.A.P’s “Unbreakable” with it’s strong beat and impressive vocals. Then they showed off a completely different side of themselves with their classy rapping style and emotional melody in “Secret Love“.
In addition, B.A.P’s Bang Yong Guk, Dae Hyun, and Zelo performed unit group songs which were released prior to the group’s debut including “I Remember” and “Never Give Up“. Other members prepared solo stages to bring attention to their individual talents as well. TS Entertainment labelmate SECRET made a special appearance at the showcase as they performed their hit songs “Madonna” and “Love is Move” in hopes of B.A.P’s success.
SECRET said,
“Thank you all for coming to B.A.P’s debut stage. We are so proud. We were jealous of other agencies who held family concerts. We’re happy now that we think we will have those kinds of opportunities.“
After about an hour of performances, B.A.P wrapped up their showcase with their first single’s title track “Warrior“. In alignment with the song’s concept of an alien who plans to take over the world, the spaceship like stage hyped up the audience as they gave an energy-filled performance.
I was full of trepidation when I first heard that Taemin would be performing on Immortal Song 2. Don't get me wrong. I adore this boy, really I do. BUT....I'm also a realist and lets face it, he is not the vocal of SHINee. It's not that he has a bad voice by any means, but, he certainly is not the powerhouse Jonghyun is nor the "melt me into a puddle right here and now" vocalist Onew is. Quite frankly...I was scared for him. I know Taemin has worked tirelessly to improve his vocals, which couldn't have been easy considering how busy SHINee is, turns out, he has a pretty decent voice well suited for ballad or trot.
Who knew? I'm so glad! I could totally see him in a musical one day!

SHINee‘s maknaeTaemin held his first ever stage for the upcoming episode of ‘Immortal Song 2‘!
This episode will see 14 singers cover songs from legendary artist, Son Chang Sik. Taemin will be performing “At Least Once“, and his stage is highly-anticipated because the general public aren’t as familiar with Taemin’s singing talent. The maknae has made headlines in the past with his cute looks and dance skills, but viewers are looking forward to seeing how he’ll bring power and emotion to his ‘Immortal Song 2′ cover.
Before going on stage, Taemin expressed that he felt nervous. Yet like the professional he is, he kept that quelled deep inside and only showed the audience a calm and steady performance. Afterwards, Taemin said, “I was able to sing well because I saw Son Chang Sik teacher’s smile the entire time.” Son Chang Sik reportedly praised Taemin’s cover of his song.

Yesterday, TEEN TOP released the ‘rage dance version’ of their “Going Crazy” choreography. Now they’ve returned with the ‘flawed version’ of their “Teen Top (Intro)“ dance!
Just like in their previous video, the members are seen shouting and yelling as they give their all in this performance. In the middle of the video, Niel shouts, “Here we go!” before they launch into their super-fast dance break.

After securing a victory at MBC’s “4th Idol Star Athletics & Swimming Championships“, TEEN TOP‘s Niel has shared a proud ‘proof shot’ with his gold medal!
On January 24th, Niel posted on TEEN TOP’s me2day, ”Angels, you saw right!? I won first place for you guys~ Now there is only one other first place left hahahahaha”
Though a past photo of Shinhwa‘s Andy and Niel showed otherwise, Niel made Andy and the rest of his teammates proud when he cleared the bar and won first place in the men’s high jump.
Fans commented, “Congratulations on your first place win! Congrats to Ricky who got second place too!” “I’m so proud of you” and “I was cheering for you like crazy at my house.”

Earlier, allkpop reported that Girls’ Generation would be appearing on the American talk show program, ‘Live! With Kelly‘. It’s just been revealed that the girls will also be performing on CBS‘s late-night program, ‘The Late Show with David Letterman‘.
David Letterman’s talk show is famous for its celebrity guests, ranging from A-list Hollywood stars to politicians, athletes, and news anchors. It’s considered to be one of the top late-night TV programs in the States, and so the girls will be performing to a nationwide audience.
Girls’ Generation is scheduled to appear on January 31st (EST), before moving onto ‘Live! With Kelly’ for February 1st.

INFINITE‘s increasing popularity has been confirmed through the quick sales of their Japanese concert tickets!
Recently, the tickets to their Japanese concert (‘Second Invasion Japan Tokyo’) went up for pre-sale for INFINITE’s Japanese fan club members.
Although these pre-sale tickets were only open to those in their official fan club, the concert was sold out completely without any additional public sales in just 10 minutes. With the tickets selling out so quickly, an additional concert date was requested by the many fans who weren’t able to grab one for themselves.
Having made their official Japanese debut in November, 2011 with ‘BTD (Before the Dawn)‘, the group announced its plans to hold two consecutive concerts at the Tokyo International Forum Hall with a total of 10,000 seats ( with 5,000 seats per concert). Although some had voiced their uncertainties about whether the group would be able to fill up the concert hall so early on into debut, they were silenced when the tickets were sold out in such a short amount of time.
INFINITE’s ‘Second Invasion Japan Tokyo’ concerts are scheduled to be held on Febrary 25th and 26th.

INFINITE’s Lhas been causing quite the stir with his recent statement, “I don’t think I’m a flower boy.”
On January 25th, L attended the press conference for his new tvN drama, ‘Shut Up Flower Boy Band‘, at the CGV Cheongdam Cine City. During the conference, reporters asked L for his thoughts on his looks.
L laughed as he replied, “All of my fellow cast members are so handsome and beautiful that I don’t consider myself to be a flower boy.”
The answer raised some eyebrows, as L is known to be the ‘visual member’ of INFINITE. That reputation will live on through tvN’s ‘Shut Up Flower Boy Band’, where L plays an extremely talented guitarist in the fictional pretty-boy band, ‘Eye Candy’.
L shyly confessed, “To be honest, shooting the scene was my first time playing an electric guitar.” He continued, “I will practice hard to show a more professional side for the drama” and “I will deliver a guitarist with a strong sense of character.”
This will be L’s first time acting in his home country (he previously made his acting debut in a Japanese production), and therefore, L expressed that he’s really anxious about the results.
L said, “The INFINITE members were all very concerned for me and asked me, ‘Do you think you can do it?’”
He continued, “The hyungs that I am working with in the drama have been a big help to me. I want to show a cool side of myself by working hard on my acting.”
L also revealed his thoughts about working with ‘Superstar K3’ contestant Kim Ye Rim. “First of all, I have never met Kim Ye Rim before. I am really curious though.” L continued with a laugh, “I’m looking forward to meeting her. I wonder what her personality is like, what she would say, and how she is going to approach me.”
In the drama, L will be involved in a love triangle with Yoo Min Kyu and Kim Ye Rim’s characters.
‘Shut Up Flower Boy Band’ will be about a high school rock band called Eye Candy, who are comprised of flower boys with rough personalities. It is a passionate drama about youths’ experience with love, friendship and music; it will air its first episode on January 30th.

Girls’ Generation has been quite coy about their future plans in America, but it looks like they’ll be heading to New York City as soon as next week for various scheduled appearances on national television!
On TVGuide.com‘s episode listings, Girls’ Generation is listed as an upcoming guest on the February 1st episode of ‘Live! With Kelly‘ (formerly ‘The Morning Show’ and ‘Live! with Regis and Kelly’), a morning talk show hosted by Kelly Ripa. An addition to Girls’ Generation, this episode will also feature singer Jennifer Lopez as well as Howie Mandel as the guest co-host.
There are also rumors circulating that the nine ladies will appear on ‘The Late Show with David Letterman‘ the day before on January 31st; however, no official statements have been released and no information has emerged on the TV show’s website.
