Boyfriend News! The Min Twins and Boyfriend Volunteer in Thailand

Idol group Boyfriend flew to flood-damaged Thailand recently to lend support to their fans. On October 26th, the boys threw a concert in Siam Paragon, Bangkok, which drew 2,500 female fans. The day before, they visited Dong Muang International Airport, which currently acts as a shelter for many flood victims. They added to the flood relief by volunteering and sending in supplies.
Starship Entertainment revealed, “Through this concert, we want to help Thailand’s flood victims and lend hope and strength to the people. Though Boyfriend’s strength is small, they joined with the heart to help. We thank the warm hospitality of their Thai fans, and we will keep the flood recovery in our thoughts.”

by leesa86Twin brothers Kwangmin and Youngmin of rookie idol group ‘Boyfriend‘ have been highly praised for their resemblance to singer Kim Hyun Joong.
Ever since their debut, they’ve been dubbed as the ‘Kim Hyun Joong twins’. In fact, before they were singers, the boys guested on an SBS program, whose panelists pointed out that the boys looked very similar to the SS501 star. Kim Hyun Joong himself acknowledged that the twins did look like him, which drew even more interest from netizens and viewers alike.
During a recent interview with enews, Kwangmin and Youngmin remarked that those who felt they resembled their senior were “too kind“. “We saw him recently on a music program, and he was awesome. We thought to ourselves that we wanted to be like him in the future,” they said.
The twins continued, “Kim Hyun Joong is someone with a very strong aura, as well as a great stage presence. We want to follow in his footsteps, being loved and acknowledged not only in Korea, but overseas as well.”
The two admit that they’re “still lacking in a lot of ways“, and that they continue to receive dance and vocal instruction from time to time. They will always work hard to develop as an artist. Perhaps in time, they’ll get to see the day where their juniors will cite Kwangmin and Youngmin as their mentors.
Meanwhile, Boyfriend is actively promoting their new song, “Don’t Touch My Girl“.

Boyfriend garners over 1 million views for "Don't touch my Girl'

There are odd days when I wonder why I do this...
I look around at cold half empty cups of Dunkin Donuts and Starbuck's (Rayne will kill me for that >.<) coffee. 2 laptops nestled together with a recently acquired 2terabyte external drive in-between.
Sometimes I get really tired.
Why do I do this?
Then I watch Boyfriend's just released dance version of 'Don't touch my Girl' while a BIG smile spreads across my face as I realize just how right and well done this rookie group is. You can almost see their hopes and dreams, hear their drive for success in an ever more competitive jungle of fierceness.
Boyfriend does not rely on flashy outfits or over-the-top accessories(I'm STILL looking at you B1A4*coughblowmewhistlecough*)to garner fans. They just sing and dance really well, moving forward one step at a time.
Starship, keep doing what you're doing with these boys.
Cause you're doin it perfectly.
Sometimes you do it just because....its right.

Boyfriend says “Don’t Touch My Girl” on ‘Music Bank’ comeback

Boyfriend is back on KBS’s ‘Music Bank‘ with a charismatic new look for “Don’t Touch My Girl“!
Starship Entertainment stated, “In contrast to their sweet, emotional song that describes the love story of a teen couple, the boys will be presenting a powerful performance style with disciplined choreography.”
The boys dressed up in royal military outfits that bring out a more masculine image, compared to their previous cutesy concept.

Boyfriend teams up with Sweetune for “Don’t Touch My Girl” comeback

Boyfriend has teamed up with composer duo Sweetune for their upcoming second single album comeback!
Sweetune has worked on several hit releases this year with KARA and INFINITE and are hoping to continue their momentum with Boyfriend’s “Don’t Touch My Girl“.  Although the teaser only showed 30 seconds of the song, listeners were nevertheless impressed with the emotional melody that they were able to bring out.
The song is described to be a sweet synth-pop song.  On their Twitter, they wrote, “In this fresh season, we hope to approach you with warm music.  BOYFRIEND … WITH SweeTUNE.”
Netizens commented, “Didn’t know it was Sweetune, I’m excited!”, “I can already tell without listening that it will be awesome”, and “I think Boyfriend will fit well with the clear feel”.

Rookie idol group Boyfriend will be wrapping up their promotions for “Boyfriend” this week in order to move onto their follow-up track, “YOU & I“.
The boys chose the song that received the hottest response from both fans and music critics alike.
Unlike their sweet and cutesy debut concept, they’ll be working with a ’cold city man’ charm to capture the hearts of nuna fans everywhere all over again.
Produced by hit composer Brave Brothers, the boys have teamed up with dance team DQ (who’ve worked with MBLAQ, B2ST, and Rain) to reflect their new image change in their choreography.

I have been hesitant to report on Big Bang's Daesung' recent unfortunate car accident until the autopsy report is final, but, I was so glad to hear that G Dragon kept his schedule despite management saying all their schedules were canceled.

G-Dragon Films Infinity Challenge, and Joins MT Amidst Daesung Controversy

Big Bang’s leader G-Dragon showed up for the filming of “Infinity Challenge.” Despite the current controversy regarding Daesung and his accident, this shows that Big Bang is still resolute. On June 2^nd G-Dragon showed himself for the filming that took place at MBC’s Dream Center. This show was for “Infinity Challenge – West Coast Highroad Pop Show.”
G-Dragon appeared on the show with his partner Park Myung Soo. For this day G-Dragon wore a summer outfit that consisted of a white t-shirt and jeans, he was wearing a hat with sunglasses.
The “Infinity Challenge” team on this day (June 2^nd) left for an MT (Member Training), a type of “get together” for Kang Hwa Island. G-Dragon was reported to have left for the MT as well. Psy who was available for the show, did not join the MT.

Boyfriend’s Kwang Min, Goes to the Hospital for Finger Injury + Ligament Rupture

Kwang Min who is a twin with Young Min on the group “Boyfriend” hurt his finger and ruptured a ligament. According to Boyfriend’s agency Starship Entertainment, “Kwang Min jammed his thumb during a performance rehearsal a week ago.”
The hospital gave him a diagnosis that he had ruptured his ligament in his hand. On June 2^nd, however, he will still appear on Mnet “M! Countdown” even with the injury since it will be Boyfriend’s second performance. In order to show a good performance, before the actual filming of "M! Countdown," Kwang Min stopped by the hospital.

Boyfriend is an idol group made up of six members: Hyun Seong, Min Woo, Kwang Min, Young Min, Dong Hyun and Jeong Min. Their debut song was “Boyfriend.”

"My Boyfriend" and Rain use the same choreographer?

Am I surprised that "My Boyfriend" and Rain use the same choreographer? Not really.
As I said in my very first Boyfriend post these new babies seem different, and I just have a really good feeling about them. Noppers, not surprised at all when I read today that they are being Produced by “Brave Brothers” and that their choreography is being done by “DQ”.

Boyfriend’s MV reaches 750,000 views on Youtube

The 6 member idol group “Boyfriend” and their music video is gaining a lot of popularity. Boyfriend’s debut album title song is the same name and its music video reached past 750,000 views on Youtube. The group is made up of “K-Will’s Back dancer,” “Younger than IU” Min Woo and the twins Young Min and Kwang Min, Jung Min who is known as “looking similar to Yoo Seung Ho.” The other two members are Dong Hyun and Hyun Seong. The group is known for their cute dance moves and bright smiles.
The group is being produced by “Brave Brothers” and “DQ” is the choreographer who also choreographed for Rain, 4 Minute, and B2ST. The group had their debut performance on M-Net’s “M Countdown” on May 26^th. Below is the clip for their music video!

Boyfriend to document their debut process through Mnet’s “M! Pick”

Rookie idol group Boyfriend will be revealing their debut process through their Mnet’s “M! Pick.”
“M! Pick” is a reality program that introduces rookies and shares their debut stories. Stars such as SS501 all went through the process, and it’s now even called ‘the gateway to the industry for idols’.
Through the show, Boyfriend will be showing what their day-to-day life is like off-stage. They will also be given fun missions like collecting fanclub members and holding fan meetings through the program.
The boys are currently awaiting their official debut with the help of Brave Brothers and DQ on May 26th.
