See???? Kpop is good for everything/everyone! When I first heard rumors of Taemin singing a KoRn song I was all..."in what universe does THIS make sense?" o.O Everyone was searching and guessing which song it would be. Well it sure didn't take Shawols long....'Get Up' then the wait for videos started.... Remember what happened on the tumblr Sherlock tag? Shawols had the Sherlockians anywhere from WTF to When did Sherlock become Asian? O.o Now its surely KoRn's turn to be all "Wait who? Shiny who?" Of course there is the required 'Taemin brought me here' comment getting thumbed up. In the end Kpop is good for everyone, as I'm sure the downloads and purchases will increase. 

Cause no matter what or who the idols of Hallyu touch....it can only get better

What I love so much about Taemin this year is.... his ability to keep us on our toes while keeping us amazed at a never ending array of talent and skills.

Rock on Taemin! This brought together two of my longtime loves Heavy Metal...and Kpop Still looking through the starz for that universe.

Super Junior’s “Sorry Sorry” featured on Conan O’Brien Show

Super Junior‘s hit single “Sorry Sorry” made an appearance on TBS‘s CONAN in a very peculiar manner.
A Chinese talk show named ‘Da Peng‘ blatantly ripped off the opening sequence to CONAN. ‘Da Peng’ was caught red handed on CONAN and to smooth things over, the hosts of ‘Da Peng’ decided to apologize by performing Super Junior’s “Sorry Sorry” dance. Host Conan O’Brien was very touched by the gesture and performed his own mangled version of the “Sorry Sorry” dance.

As a popular talk show host, entrepreneur, producer, and philanthropist, Oprah Winfrey is not only one of the richest, but also one of the most powerful celebrities in the world. She takes on all her tasks with a positive mentality, and has drawn a huge fan base from housewives to A-list celebrities.
Recently, Tiger JK professed that he became a fan of Oprah Winfrey’s. On February 19th, he tweeted Oprah with the message, “When can I meet you? My wifey, Yoon Mi Rae, had me watch all your shows — it made a grown man cry. God bless.”
Oprah thanked Tiger JK for the support and replied,“Nice wifey”.
Ecstatic that he got a response, Tiger JK tweeted, “OMG ! My wifey going to love me forever ! Thank you Oprah! I love you *in tears*”
He continued, “I just got re-tweeted by the one and only @Oprah ! Just woke up Tasha and showed her tweet she loving me lol“
Tiger JK’s wife, Yoon Mi Rae (a.k.a Tasha) also wrote, “No way..This is a joke right? This can’t be real.!!! Daebak!!! What am I going to do!! ^^”.

K-Pop's popularity is spreading everywhere and is gaining recognition by American artists as well. Such is the case with 2NE1, who got help from Black Eyed Peas' Will.i.am in producing their music or Big Bang's recent collaboration with Ludacris for his new headphones "Soul by Ludacris", or when Heechul received praise from Lady Gaga (who liked his hair ribbon) when he impersonated her in Paris as Lady Hee Hee. Now it's Super Junior's turn, who got praised by one of the greatest rock icons in American history, Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger.
He shared that he found out about Super Junior while listening randomly to some songs online and found a song he could not understand. He felt pretty good about the song, like "having a vacation in Ireland." Then, he searched for information about the song and it turns out that it was Super Junior's song "Walkin" from their fifth album, Mr. Simple. He then asked them to keep it up and that he was impressed by the Asian singers.

This news was so huge regarding Super Junior's popularity that Shindong excitedly tweeted: "This is so cool… Maroon 5 has a song about Jagger-nim… He likes Super Junior’s song... Rolling Stones Mick Jagger!!! Woah awesome!!!" and also "It isn’t even the title track of our 5th album, but the other song, Walkin’! The first part is mine!!! Woah!!! I’m walkin’ to the day!!!! I’m walkin’ to the day…!!!" It's really cool for Super Junior to be recognized by such a huge icon!

Phenomenon in Seoul, these “boys” and “girls bands” are creating waves among French teens. They will sing for the first time in Paris.
After having conquered Asia, the Kpop wave targets Europe. And Paris is the head start for the new Korean pop star singers. Thursday and Friday night *made a mistake, should be Friday and Saturday*, the most popular “boys” and “girls groups” of South Korea will take over the stage at the Zénith for two concerts on the Old World. Success is guaranteed since the tickets were sold out in less than 15 minutes! As far as to create a manifestation out of the norm in front of the Louvre Pyramid, last 2 May: hundreds of fans had waved their banners to call for another concert date in front of stunned tourists. A mobilization which made the front cover of the Korean newspaper and which convinced the organizer, the almighty agency SM Entertainment, to add a new date.
“The girls are so excited to perform in Paris! It is a romantic city by far”, gushed Eun-a Km, the representative of the agency of the most powerful show-business in Asia. These girls, are the Girls Generation, the highlight of the show at the Zénith, the group that dominates the chart in all the Far East: nine dolls barely 20 years old with infinite long legs and in mini-mini skirts whose precise hip swaying had already had Japan, China and Thailand on their knees.
The security service at Roissy has already provided an impressive mechanism to counteract uncontrollable fans in the arrival hallway.
On stage, the girls will be accompanied by SHINee, TVXQ! And Super Junior, three boys groups with androgynous look which have been creating havoc among the French teens. Scouted sometimes as from primary school, these baby stars follow a Spartan training and can do everything: sing, dance on complex rhythms as well as participate in dramas or tv commercials, one of the main source of revenue of the Korean show-biz.

Since five years, Hallyu, the “Korean Wave”, take everything in its path in Asia as far as to eclipse the Japanese Pop thanks to an implacable mix: sounds and choreography borrowed from the West and adapted to the taste of the Asian audience to offer a show of flawless execution. A global product that has seduced since two years more and more young French, who have discovered the K-pop generally through the manga culture before leaping from Japan to Korea.
“It is a mix of familiar sounds, with an exotic touch that makes the difference”, explains Maxime Pacquet, a fan of 31 years old. This IT technician is the president of the Korean Connection Association which estimate to 100, 000 number of fans in France. A trend that spreads through YouTube and the online social networking websites such as Facebook where there are communities of fans who exchange the latest videos and organized K-pop dance classes. “The enthusiasm in Europe surprises us. But Asia remains our priority”, says Eun-a-Kim. And eventually: in September, Girls Generation will be in Tokyo for a concert in front of 100, 000 persons! Europe will have to be very patient before seeing their idols in miniskirts again.

[Hallyu Wave]Kpop fanservice like behavior at the MTV Music Awards show!

As I have mentioned before, I was once (and still secretly >.<) heavily vested in the Vampire genre. Twilight was sooo NOT high on my list due to a dislike of SPARKLY like vamps *sigh*. However, when I saw this fanservice behavior on the news this morning I gasped! Has idol fanservice reached the USA? Or is it just wishful thinking on my part? Either way I don't really care, its just so good to see it here!!!

WATCH: Rob Pattinson & Taylor Lautner kiss

The most memorable moment from last night's MTV Movie Awards was undoubtedly Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's acceptance speech for the "Best Kiss" award. The duo have won that category for three years straight, but this year they were up against some stiff competition -- Stewart's kiss with another Twilight co-star, Taylor Lautner.

Feeling guilty for scoring the award again, Pattinson decided to share the wealth with Lautner, so he ran into the audience, found Taylor, and planted one on him.

Another highlight from the show was the premiere of the first official Breaking Dawn trailer. Included in the clip are the wedding scene, Edward and Bella's honeymoon, and (spoiler alert!) Bella's growing belly.
