Has SHINee Peaked? Let's play can SHINee top this.

I'm a little worried....I know I know, you all probably see me as the bitchy, oh what can I find wrong now article writer, and sometimes I am. I've evolved, I was not always this way. When I first started my writing career I was always positive and tended to be semi-delusional especially about my loves. I was always honest. I still am.
I love SHINee, all of SHINee, please don't ever forget that.
A little something has been worrying me way back in my brain since SHINee's comeback with 'Why So Serious?'  Has SHINee peaked?

Lets go back to Lucifer. Lucifer was really the beginning of big changes for SHINee. Jonghyun's long note in Lucifer was killer. Fans timed it out to almost 20 seconds in some live performances. Killer. The choreo? Also killer. Onew in particular complained a lot about Lucifers choreography.
Lucifer won multiple awards for SHINee including 2 on Mubank and twice on Inkigayo as well as a GDA for 2010 and Bonsang for 2011.(Nominated for best choreo JVMA 2012)

How to top that? Sherlock. Lets combine TWO songs and get Tony Testa to do the choreography. Who does this?!!! SHINee did this. Oh that high stepping dance! SHINee almost collapsed on stage from the dance alone. Still they managed to not only perform it flawlessly, they also performed it LIVE! Sherlock won 2012 Best Male Dance MAMA's, a 2013 GDA Disk Bonsang and 8 Music Show awards. There was no stopping SHINee! Can they top this?

Exhausted from Japan promo's SHINee comes back with 'Chapter 1 Dream Girl' So this time Tony Testa decides to add props to SHINee's choreography. Wait WHUT? Add microphone stands to the dance? YES Yes yes, Mr. Testa went there. The results? 10 Music Show Awards and an ALL Kill. Phenomenal! Who can beat them now?

This my friends and fans brings us to today and why I'm so worried right here, right now.
There has been lots of complaints about 'Why So Serious?' starting with Jonghyun not participating due to his car accident, to 'Why So Serious?' just being a lousy song. Lousy? From SHINee???? Really really? This opinion came from both Knetizens & Inetizens btw.
SHINee has been promoting this song for several weeks now and....not one music show win. NOT ONE!!!! How could this be true???? What the hell goes on here?
First off, there were changes in the voting process having to do with the sales both digital and physical. It actually has done quite well in digital sales. Then there is the live vote. Who's been winning? One word...Psy. Has been wining pretty much everything with 'Gentleman'
'Why So Serious?' did manage to top the Billboard World Music Charts. Quite impressive really! Was it the change in choreographer to Devin Jamieson? I don't think so. The choreography is still world class in my book.
My only complaint here? Since when does a SHINee member get a pass on doing tough choreo?

Onew did state that the man-split caused him some back pain and with Jonghyun already out, they really don't need to lose another member. Things are tough enough right now for SHINee. Is it Taemin's participation in WGM? Some fans did threaten to leave the fandom because of it, but I highly doubt enough left to make any real difference.
Did they comeback too fast with Chapter 2?
Hence my worry. Its been a long time since SHINee has promoted without wining something! Maybe I'm spoiled. Maybe I just expect SHINee to perform on music shows and to win. Maybe I'm being all delulu again.
BTW 4Minute won today.....without Hyuna....

Then there is the dreaded 5 year curse,
SHINee celebrates their 5 year anniversary May 28 this month......
So has SHINee peaked? Have they outdone themselves? Have they set the bar so high its difficult to top themselves now? I sure hope not. I guess I still have more questions than answers. One thing I know for sure. I adore my SHINee boys!
Every last quirky, nerdy, fabulous one of them, and I fully expect to continue to see them out doing themselves for years to come.

 "FIGHTING SHINee! You've worked hard!"

Stormy out!

SHINee Shinigami 1000 Years Always Be By My Side

 SHINigami

Lets start with Shinigami, not sure what that is? Brief lesson, Shinigami means 'Death God' or 'Death Spirit' which if you've ever watched any Japanese anime or Korean manwha, you probably have run into more than once. ie Death Note.
SHINee playing Shinigami is not really that far fetched for them, its a genre they entertain often really....think 'Lucifer' or Taemini's recent solo "Shut Up'.
As they have matured from their boy next door images, they have often visited their darker sides while maintaining a glimmer of SHINee light.
I began to entertain the idea of 'SHINee Shinigami' from the first teaser....
but then I have an extended history with anime and manhwa.....surprised?

I must admit that I sobbed through my first viewing of the video today.
Then had to take some time away from it while I gathered all my feels....

The SHINigami here help a departed spirit with some unfinished earthly concerns by allowing him some extra time with his ailing son.

They keep an eye on things by shapshifting. ie Bleach reference

SHINigami Taemin sends the departed spirit off to the other side with the families 'Fighting' spirit. See the bus schedule

Did you miss the bus at the end? Lots of people did.

A beautiful ballad with an immensely sad story that rivals any of the best anime/manga/manhwa ever. ie Blood Plus

Super Junior’s Yesung & SHINee’s Jonghyun to leave “Immortal Song 2″

by chloejn on June 6, 2011 at 2:59 am

Recently, we announced that IU was permanently withdrawing from KBS2TV’s”Immortal Song 2“. On June 6th, it was announced that Super Junior’s Yesung and SHINee’s Jonghyun would also be leaving the show because of preparations for SMTOWN’s Paris concert.
Producer Kwon Chae Young explained,

“IU, Yesung, and Jonghyun will be leaving ‘Immortal Song 2′ due to their personal schedules. IU’s involvement ended with last week’s broadcast, while Yesung and Jonghyun’s participation will be ending with the June 18th broadcast, the third episode.“

We reported that IU was being replaced by SECRET’s Song Ji Eun, and that 2PM’s Junsu and F.T. Island’s Lee Hongki were preparing to join the show. It’s been revealed that Junsu and Hongki will be joining the cast in Yesung and Jonghyun’s place.
Producer Kwon continued,

“I’m sad that we won’t be able to show the original members’ development due to the member changes, however, I’m trying to think optimistically about the fact that more idol stars will be given the opportunity in upcoming episodes and that we have a fluid cast in place. This is inevitable because of their busy schedules and overseas commitments.“

He also revealed,

“Yoseob has an upcoming schedule with B2ST in Japan and his participation is currently under review, but we have already lined up MBLAQ’s G.O to come in should he fail to make it for recording. Also on our list are f(x)’s Luna and miss A’s Min. We are not discounting rookie group members as long as they fit the requirements that our producers are looking for and have outstanding skills. But as always, it will remain a 6-member cast at all times.”

Meanwhile, the second broadcast of “Immortal Song 2″ will air on June 11th.

This episode will air the same day as SMTown Live in Paris...

When Jonghyun cries......Minho and Key run to him-SHINee back stage at Immortal Song 2

So... how can I write a whole post just because Jonghyun cries? Because its SHINee! THATS why....Oh I have been sooooo freakin annoyed at people saying that SHINee is not close, that all the members just consider SHINee as a business arrangement, they never see each other except to film. BULL!!!!!
I dare ANYONE to watch this video and think that. We all know that in their new dorm Minho and Jjong sleep in one room while Onew, Key and Taemin sleep in the other, so I guess Minho would know that poor Jonghyun was sleepless the night before this was recorded.
And I guess because they are so close, Minho and Key run to find Jjong, cause they KNOW he will be in tears. There is so much love and support for each other in this group that its amazing to watch them, yes, even when they cry.
And I will say this again, Its a testament to what a good leader Onew is, to know the strengths of each member, and to let them play their roles to help each other as needed. Damnnnn I just love SHINee!
I just adore Minho stepping up and not being afraid to take charge of the situation.
SHINee just rocks my whole freakin music world!

SHINee’s Jonghyun sings ‘So Goodbye’ for ‘City Hunter’ OST

by ramham424 on June 2, 2011 at 9:42 pm

SHINee’s Jonghyun has lent his voice for the soundtrack for SBS’s new drama, ‘City Hunter‘!
The idol sang the track ‘So Goodbye‘ for ‘City Hunter OST Part 2‘, which was released on June 3rd. The powerful ballad is expected to continue the success the drama’s already received for Part 1 of its soundtrack with Im Jae Bum’s ‘Love‘.
‘So Goodbye’ is a song that’s infused with painful emotions in order to reflect the emotional scars the main characters of ‘City Hunter’ carry with them. It was composed by music producer Oh Joon Sung, who’s famous for his soundtracks with ‘Boys Over Flowers‘, ‘Prosecutor Princess‘, and ‘Witch Yoo Hee‘.
Jonghyun reportedly gained high praise from the production staff during recording because of his excellent expression of emotions in the song. Needless to say, his powerful vocals also caught everyone’s attention.
Without further ado, check out the song below!
