Lee Jong Suk joins Rain, Shin Se Kyung for “Red Scarf”

Actor Lee Jong Suk has been cast for the upcoming movie, “Red Scarf“, which also stars Rain and Shin Se Kyung!

Lee will be playing the role of Rain’s junior, who’s also a combat pilot with a mysterious top gun charm. Since he’s just been admitted to Konkuk University, Lee will be simultaneously preparing for college and for his film role.

Directed by Kim Dong Won, the film is said to be costing $10 million USD in production expenses alone. With tensions rising due to the recent Yeonpyeong Island skirmish, interest in this film has been steadily increasing because it features about attacking Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea.

MBLAQ's Mir has surgery to correct herniated disc!

This is no joke..........poor Mir who has a self admitted fear of needles, probably had more than his fair share having surgery,now his tweet from yesterday makes sense.........

MBLAQ’s Mir receives surgery for his lower back

Earlier, allkpop reported that MBLAQ’s Mir had sustained an injury to his lower back while recording for a show. It’s just been revealed that the injury was severe enough to require surgery.

A representative of his company, J. Tune Camp, stated: “On the 7th, Mir visited the hospital after recording for SBS’s “Star King” after feeling constant pains in his lower back. He was told by the doctors that he had spinal disc herniation.”

They continued, “On the 9th, he received surgery at a hospital in Kangnam and is now recovering.”

Relieving anxious fans, the representative assured, “The surgery went well but we have to wait on his condition. …Requiring immediate rest, this also complicates MBLAQ’s current promotions.”

When asked about Mir’s return, they said, “Right now, we’re not sure how long he has to rest for. His discharge from the hospital depends on his examinations and treatment process, but we wish for him to recover quickly.”

Considering the status of Mir’s health, it’s inevitable that the boys of MBLAQ will continue to promote without him. We’re hoping that Mir makes a safe and full recovery, so we can see him on stage once more! The MBLAQ 4 will continue promotions on M! Countdown later this evening.

Leeteuk reveals that he dated an older woman

During MBC Every1’s “Super Junior’s Foresight“, Leeteuk made a shocking confession about dating an older woman.

Leeteuk said that he received ’special management’ from an older woman during his trainee days, and he went on to reminisce about the relationship.

When asked about the perks of dating someone older, Leeteuk explained that he was mentally comfortable with her, and that she was able to provide for him. He claimed that she took care of him from head to toe, and even gave him a bit of pocket change whenever he went shopping or to the salon.

Fellow member Shindong took the edge off Leeteuk’s confession by joking, “Leeteuk wasn’t raised by our CEO, he was raised by the older woman.”

Later on during the episode, Leeteuk shocked the audience once more by engaging with another older woman during a “Secret Garden” parody segment, where castmates took on the famous ‘foam kiss’ and ’sit-up’ scenes from the drama.

Leeteuk and Kim Ji Hyun were partnered up to pull off a twist on the sit-up scene, for which they held a chocolate pepero between their lips. Tensions rose in the studio as the snack got shorter and shorter, until member Kyuhyun snapped it completely by suddenly pushing on Leeteuk’s back, forcing him to kiss his female partner. The studio immediately erupted into a chaotic mass of screams and cheers.

Teen Top’s Cap celebrates his graduation with his teacher!

Teen Top’s leader, Cap, took a shining graduation photo and is now receiving the attention of netizens.

Cap had revealed a picture through Teen Top’s Twitter and me2day on February 7th, showing his mischievous smile whilst holding a diploma proudly.

Cap, who will not be able to attend the graduation ceremony on the coming 10th due to his promotion schedule in Japan, passed on his thoughts about graduation, “My homeroom teacher, who said to never reveal this photo, in celebration of graduation ^^ I’ll become a better Cap as much as my teachers trust in me. I graduated high school. This shining diploma is bittersweet. Please congratulate me!!!”

Netizens who saw this picture reacted with various congratulations on his graduation, “Congratulations on your graduation”, “I was hoping for Cap’s graduation photo”, and “While beside his teacher in the staff room, he looks like a complete high school student rather than his charismatic figure on stage”.

While his biggest claim to fame so far has been his androgynous appearance…there’s more to the maknae of the 7-member rookie group Infinite than meets the eye! When he first debuted, Sungjong caught the attention of netizens with his metrosexual bordering on cross-dressing photoshoot.

It didn’t help that he perfectly performed Orange Caramel’s hit song “Magic Girl” and revealed that his costume actually belonged to Nana!

Sungjong and the rest of Infinite broke away from their sweet debut image with their impressive “scorpion dance” and violent blockbuster-style comeback music video, “Before The Dawn.” That wasn’t enough for the 17-year-old and Sungjong went completely blond as well!
Their name showed up on search portals again when they featured the dance during MBC’s Star Dance Battle. That’s also the performance where Sungjong shined (or was it his hair?) during Infinite’s cover of “Baby” and “Like A G6.”

When the hosts commented that that his looks could make girls jealous, his reaction definitely showed that he’s got all the makings of a variety idol. He’s got the looks, the personality and with Infinite gaining more traction as a group — Sungjong is probably going to be a regular on variety shows!

MBLAQ's Mir being treated for a minor back injury

Holy Hell allkpop just about gave me a heart attack when I read the headline.
I'm so glad it turned out to be minor.

MBLAQ’s Mir sustains a spinal injury

Currently promoting their title song “Stay“, MBLAQ’s Mir has sustained a minor spinal injury.

J. Tune Entertainment officially made an announcement through Money Today Star News on February 8th, stating, “Mir has been hospitalized on the 7th due to lower back pain. For the time being, he will be resting. Mir’s lower back has not been in good shape and because of the packed filming schedules, his condition got worse. He needs to receive physical therapy daily in order to get better“.

Mir is now taking a break from his hectic schedule, dividing his time between the hospital and his home. Therefore, MBLAQ will continue promoting their album as 4 members, excluding Mir.

The upcoming filming of Mnet’s “M! Countdown” will proceed with only 4 members. J. Tune Camp has decided that although Mir’s condition is not serious, they are going to take every precaution in order to prevent any further injury.

We are hoping for Mir’s speedy recovery!

I first learned to love rehearsal videos from Rain and I wish other artists were as smart as he is. A man who is known for his business smarts as well as being a top artist in the business. He had the right idea.
First it gives the artist a whole new chance to release the music they are trying to get out to fans without all the cost of costumes, backup dancers, travel costs and such.
Second, for the fans its like a BOGO (Buy one get one free)we get to see the songs again but in a different light, usually wearing everyday clothing, which just gives us a little more info about them that really doesn't cost the artist anything. Its kinda nice to see them everyday, without all the makeup and costumes.

Someone got smart with Teen Top and decided to release the rehearsal video of Supa Luv, and lemme tell ya how much the fans are loving it and leaving lots of post on YouTube and probably the fansite as well, though I haven't checked there in a few hours.

That’s right… GoodWill from GoodWill & MGI (an American-Finnish production duo) is officially an ELF!
Earlier, allkpop reported that GoodWill promised ELF’s that he, himself, would become an ELF if he reached 10,000 followers. It looks like the ELF’s showed their collaborative strength and dedication because… today, GoodWill reached the monumental 10,000 and became an ELF.
He posted a series of tweets throughout the day including his acknowledgment, “IT’S OFFICIAL GUYS: I’M AN ELF!!!”
Super Junior fans even tested GoodWill’s ELF eligibility by asking, “Do you know which member is called Cinderella?” To which he correctly answered, “Heechul, right?”
